What is Paper Sweet?

Paper Sweet is a full service custom-made paper projects business. My mission is to create original and custom-made paper projects by combining many years of formal fine art training and artistic vision with professional and reliable product delivery. My goal is to go beyond the “store bought” invitations and to offer a custom-tailored experience, with exceptional customer service and an end product that exceeds your expectations. All Paper Sweet projects are custom-made and tailored to meet your individual needs, wants, budgets and creative visions for your special occasions.

How is Paper Sweet different?

What makes my process different is that I will truly take the time to learn about you, your interests, and your visions for your special event so that your invitations reflect all your individuality. Whether you are in the beginning stages of your event planning or are already in the thick of it and have a specific idea in mind, I will work with you and your budget to come up with a completely unique and custom piece of art. I work with the highest quality papers, ribbons, and embellishments. All my designs are made from scratch, original and hand-made with great attention to detail, design and consistency with your event’s theme. At this point I do not have ready-made or ready-to-order stationery. Everything I make is made for you, to meet your specifications.

What's the process and how do I get started?

During our first consultation, either face-to-face or on the phone depending on our proximity, I will ask you lots of questions about your event, about you, your style, your visions for your dream invitations, any colors or themes you may already have selected for the event, your timeframe, and your budget. Any visual inspiration you can bring to our meeting will be helpful in the design process; magazine clippings, color swatches or drawings you’ve already started collecting. The more I know about you the better I can tailor your invites to fit your personality and give your guests a taste of what in store for them. From there we will select a few different styles, determine and tailor your colors, wording, imagery, embellishments, design, format, and packaging to fit your vision and budget. All designs are made for you based on your selections. To ensure we stay true to your vision and timeline, I will draft a contract that covers all these details as discussed. I will then create a series of mock-up designs depending the complexity and size of your paper project. Upon receiving your approval of the final design(s), I will start making the invitations. If you are simply hosting a party and want something simple and fast, we can talk on the phone, and I can email you the mock-ups for your approval. I pride myself on providing excellent customer service and will meet all deadlines we agree to.

What does all this cost?

The cost of your paper project entirely depends on the complexity, size and materials involved in making your dream paper suite. I can work with any budget, big or small. To schedule an initial consultation, please email or call me at: jyfendel@gmail.com (415) 203-9223 As an additional service, I am happy to print and apply your address and return address labels, take them to the post office to weigh them and determine the postage amounts based on the mailing destinations, order the stamps, and hand deliver them to the post office when the project is complete. I charge $250 for this additional service.
